The company Verstraete & Verbauwede, weaving mill of fine jacquard velvet upholstery fabrics – with coordinated plains, and viscose (spun rayon) carpets, started its first production in 1950. Today it exports its upholstery fabrics and carpets to more than 60 countries worldwide.
