The history of Babu Coir Works dates back to the Seventies of the last century when it started manufacturing natural floor coverings on a rather humble scale. Babu Coir Works is a continuation of our family business founded by our forefathers. In the 1980s, Babu Coir Works took off to export a selected range of natural floor covering products to major overseas markets including the USA, UK, South Africa and Europe. Previously, big exporters were outsourcing our products but gradually we established our own export arrangements independently. In terms of price and quality competition, our exports have remained a howling success. Over the years, the company has become more contestable and our production line has expanded to incorporate a wide range of natural flooring covering products made out of Coir, Jute, Sisal, Sea grass, Cotton and Rubber.
